Here's a little observation: Whenever The Chieftains come through town (and it's a surprisingly frequent occurrence), it's always with special guests. In fact, it seems like they've made a career out of collaborations, as everyone from Tom Jones to Elvis Costello to Ziggy Marley has taken to the studio or stage with them. With their international Celtic folk fiddle and pipe playing it's no wonder--they bring the crowds in, time and time again, and this week's visit to Bass Performance Hall (Fourth and Calhoun streets in Fort Worth) will be no different. This time around, Paddy Moloney and his Chieftains will be getting jiggy with bluegrass musician Jeff White, vocalist Alyth McCormack, and dancers Jon and Nathan Pilatzke at 8 p.m. Monday at Bass Performance Hall. Tickets are $45 to $100. Call 817-212-4280 or visit basshall.com.
