At first glance, Robyn Raggio's photographs seem pretty simple, with subjects such as a moss-covered tree branch or a rusty old Dodge. Her gift, however, lies in her ability to bring out the hidden beauty in these everyday things. Hers are the sort of photos that are appreciated most after careful examination, and the true genius of a certain shot might not hit you until you've had a moment to study it. She says she enjoys finding "the extraordinary in the ordinary," and that just about sums up her style. If, for example, you don't believe that an entire collection comprised solely of photos of doors can be fascinating, then you need to take a look at Raggio's work. You can see her solo exhibition through July 1 at the Charles W. Eisemann Center's Green Mezzanine Gallery, 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Visit eisemanncenter.com or call 972-744-4650.
