Here's my issue with having Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant or even a non-relative's house: No frickin' leftovers! Oh, how I relish a good sandwich in general, not to mention one of the leftover turkey variety. I'll pile on any sides that are left too. Fair warning: Don't even try to mess with me or my TLS (Thanksgiving Leftovers Sandwich), because I will freak out on you. So, anyway, it made me rethink my avoidance of Dragonfly--nothing against the restaurant, I just accidentally punched a waitress in the face during a particularly animated conversation at a reception about five years ago and I'm convinced she's still there...waiting--when I heard that with the four-course prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner they serve from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. for $75 per guest, they give everyone a Turkey Tote. Yeah, it's what you're hoping it is. All guests get a bag with fixings for a turkey sandwich to be prepared however you prefer in the privacy of your home...or car, if you think ahead and bring a bag of bread with you and cannot wait to get your hands on the most perfect food ever. Sandwich! Dragonfly is located in Hotel ZaZa, 2332 Leonard St. Reservations are recommended. Call 214-550-9500.
