There may have been six flags over Texas, but the Lone Star state has attracted immigrants from even farther abroad, so it doesn't seem right to stop the celebrations with Oktoberfest. Addison and the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth host WorldFest, a two-day multi-ethnic festival featuring the groups representing Asia, Bulgaria, Ghana, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Poland, Romania, Turkey and more each bringing unique foods, crafts and performances. There's a Global Food court, sign language at the Berlitz Language Booth and docs courtesy of The Economist Film Project. The events run noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Addison Circle Park, 4970 Addison Circle Drive in Addison. Call 1-800-233-4766 or visit addisontexas.net.
