Pablo Francisco at the Addison Improv Feel like seeing a few shows this weekend, but only have time for one? Come check out Pablo Francisco as he flashes through myriad characters while doing his best to cross the proverbial line. Fresh off his fourth European tour, he'll be in Addison Thursday through Sunday. Whether he's robot-humping or showing off his best stripper-pole skills, he's always a crowd favorite.
Fortune Feimster at Hyena's in Fort Worth Fortunately for us (I know ... I'll see myself out), Fortune Feimster will be here this weekend to educate the general populous on things like: unicorns and strippers share the same names, and a lack of fitness is a sure sign of female homosexuality. A full-time writer and performer on the E! Network's popular Chelsea Lately show, we're definitely looking forward to seeing her act. And finding out why she's so obsessed with Richard Simmons.
Zero Comedy Show at The Studio Theatre at Addison Theatre Center What's more attractive than a man who just won't grow up? In this case, nothing. Danny O'Connor plays six different guys petrified of leaving the responsibility-free life of a 20-something. This one-man show was created by O'Connor and his brother Robert, and gives a glimpse into the minds of dudes who can't seem to leave their drunken days behind, all through a collection of wartime letters. The show opens this Thursday and runs Thursdays through Saturdays until February 9. All of the proceeds from the opening night performance benefit The Wounded Warrior Project.
Jon Reep at Hyena's in Dallas A redneck with an opinion -- just what Texas needs! Reep's been on NBC's Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, and has his own half-hour special Comedy Central Presents: Jon Reep. Oh, and he's also the famous Dodge Ram "Hemi Guy." He'll be in DFW Thursday through Saturday. Better not show up in a Prius.
Open Mic Night at Backdoor Comedy Think you're funny? What about when you're sober? Come try and make complete strangers not throw shit at you at Backdoor Comedy's open mic night. You're guaranteed at least three minutes on stage, but that's it. You have to earn the laughs. Wannabes must sign up in advance. Check the link for that, and good luck.
