The Legend of Zelda Music To Be Played by the Dallas Sympony Orchestra. Thank the Geek Gods.
A couple of weeks ago, our sister paper The OC Weekly, had the esteemed nerd-gasm-pleasure of reviewing the Lord of The Rings: Fellowship of the Ring in Concert. Damn you, OC. In addition to wanting to use our Ocarina of Time to get there, we were officially jealous of the missing thundering sounds of Howard Shore live.
Well, take THIS OC Weekly.
Moseying over from Lon Lon Ranch, we saw the news: Nintendo's concert series for the Legend of Zelda world tour is---oh the glory!--kicking off in Dallas. Officially called "The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses," lucky, lucky goers will hear "key chapters" from 25 years of the Zelda Franchise. I know, our Master Swords are tingling too. As the DSO's site states, this marks the first ever "video game themed concert to feature a complete 4-movement symphony."
Pwned, OC Weekly. Pwned.
Full release from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra is after the jump, and see you then. We're going to go grab a drink in Hyrule to celebrate.
