The book explores JFK's efforts to shift the focus of U.S. foreign relations away from hawkishness—a move Talbot suggests estranged him from his security advisors. But let's cut to the good stuff: It's also about Robert Kennedy's subterranean effort to unravel what he believed was a conspiracy to murder his brother.
