The Beginning of November, Post Halloween, Candy Coma Recovery Days--people have a lot of different names for November 1 and 2. But none sound as cool as Dia de los Muertos, the traditional Mexican holiday celebrating the memory of loved ones who've passed away. At 7 p.m. Saturday, bust out your Skeletor costume and come celebrate Dia de los Muertos a little early at the Rose Marine Theater, 1440 N. Main St. in Fort Worth. They'll have a drum and puppet procession all the way from Marine Park to the Rose Marine Theater Plaza, plus music, dancing, face painting and even a Dia de los Muertos altar competition. This is a bilingual event and it's free. It'll happen rain or shine (because the muertos ain't skeered of a little thunder and lightning). Call 817-624-8333 or visit rosemarinetheater.com.
Sat., Oct. 30, 7 p.m., 2010
