We've been to 'em all: Snuffer's (every one), Scotty P's (Plano location, legendary), Chip's, Twisted Root, Adair's, Who's Who, Balls, even Perry's, since a honest-to-goddamned steakhouse is where a real man oughta get a burger every now and again. And on any given night, any one of them's the best in town; hell of a place we live, where someone's best burger is a legit contender from any corner. But some of us old farts around here are feeling nostalgic, surrounded as we are by newcomers for whom "classic" is an imported Steak & Shake, so we're digging out a classic here, a 56-year-old institution where son and father and grandfather can bond over a $3.70 double cheeseburger, a basket of the special-seasoning fries (best in town, till death do us part) and a "real" cherry coke. The Burger House, we call it "Jack's," 'cause we've been around, has five locations now, one in Austin (no foolin'), but the Snider Plaza location is our fave. Meat just tastes better in Highland Park, most likely.

Burger house are you kidding? I have eaten at all the so called great burger places around. I just stumbled on to one that I had never heard of until I read about it another paper. I drove all the way to Allen up off off of 75 it was by far the best burger I have ever had they grind the meat on site every day it truly was an awesome burger. Your staff should at least give them a try, i know i'm glad i did I will definately be back

I just had the best burger in Dallas...at least according to my taste buds. I googled best burger in Dallas just to see who actually holds the title. If you are looking for a great burger you HAVE to try the \"the Fat Mike\'s Burger\" at Nico\'s. It is a small drive thru stand on Inwood...right before Lemmon. Nico makes it himself. A great burger with a surprise...ham, jalapenos, avacodo...made when you order.

Burger House?!? Are you kidding me? Mmmm, nothing like an ovecooked all beef patty. I'd eat half eaten burgers out of the trash at any of the places you mentioned before eating at Burger House.

I've tried Burger House...they're definitely different, and they're not terrible, but they're not that good either. For me, the best I've had in DFW are at a place called JC's Burger House in Plano, at 15th & Independence.
