Some people get all emotional when they see commercials where the kid comes home from school and surprises Mom, or when Sally Struthers and those starving kids in Africa show up on the screen. Me, I'm a sucker for Pedigree ads (thank you, David Duchovny) and those ones for the breast cancer walks. You know, like the one where the father and daughter pass the flower across the group to say thanks to that other girl who's walking for the cure--I cry like a baby, and I'm not afraid to admit it. One of these days I'm going to join the local DFWers who will be walking the Breast Cancer 3-Day to raise funding and awareness for both Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund (you can register for the walk at The3Day.org), but this year I'm going to just have to cheer them along the way, including supporting them at the opening ceremonies at 6:30 a.m. Friday at the Plano Centre, 2000 E.
