A Book to Devour
The dream of any gastronome is to be Ruth Reichl. She spent decades as a restaurant critic and food writer in New York City, dining at some of the world’s best restaurants and dishing out her opinion on their merits. She wrote for The New York Times, created a talk show on PBS dedicated to culinary topics, spent a decade at Gourmet and now has written a book about — what else? — food. She will discuss her new book, Delicious, at the Dallas Museum of Art as part of the Arts & Letters Live series. The topic of the evening is foodie fiction and tickets start at $35. If you’re a true epicure, throw in another $100 to buy a seat at Reichl’s three-course dinner table in the Founders’ Room. Both options get you a healthy serving of food talk. The talk takes place in the DMA’s Horchow Auditorium, 1717 N. Harwood St., at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. For more information, visit dallasmuseumofart.org.
