A French Homecoming
Ask Dallas residents how Reunion Arena got its name and very few will tell you of Francois Fourier and his colony "La Reunion," which settled in Dallas more than 150 years ago. Dr. Charissa Terranovathe Dallas Observer's visual art criticlectures on Fourier's philosophy and the colony's history in a talk titled "Collecting and Collectivity: The Enigmatic Dialectic of Dallas." Dessert and coffee served courtesy of Crosby Catering and Café. Catch the lecture 8 p.m. Thursday at Santa Clara Catholic Church, 321 Calumet Ave. near Cockrell Hill.
