There she is, standing in front of the blank canvas. With a paintbrush in her hand, she slowly begins to create the ideas that have been formulating in her head for months. The paint splatters onto the canvas, and the bulging, bright splotches and lines are endless. Lorraine Tady is painting her new artwork, and this fall you can view 13 of these fresh, new pieces in her latest exhibition. Painting abstracts of lines and symbols, Lorraine is best known for her machine-like images and has recently incorporated bolder colors, strokes and shapes into her work. Lorraine Tady: New Paintings hangs at the Barry Whistler Gallery, 2909-B Canton St., through December 5. For more information call 214-939-0242 or visit barrywhistlergallery.com.
