Addison Has Albom
Robert Pausch's The Last Lecture: A Love Story for Your Life is currently taking the publishing world by storm. But before Robert there was Morrie. Tuesdays With Morrie to be precise. Remember the story? Mitch Albom discovers that his favorite professor and mentor, Morrie Schwartz, has been diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease and decides to pay him a visit and say goodbye. That first visit leads to a ritual of weekly Tuesday meetings in which the dying Morrie teaches his former student some final lessons on the art of living. Too bad it's so hard for us to learn those lessons before the end. The WaterTower Theatre will conclude its "Discover Series" with Jeffrey Hatcher’s adaptation of Albom's book. Tuesdays With Morrie runs Thursday through May 17 in the Addison Theatre Centre's Studio Theatre, 15650 Addison Road. Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased by calling the WTT box office at 972-450-6232 or online at watertowertheatre.org.
Wednesdays, Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: April 24. Continues through May 17, 2008
