Perhaps our love of a good know-it-all comes from P.G. Wodehouse's most beloved character, Reginald Jeeves. The quintessential gentleman's gentleman, the poor man had to put up with uber-daft rich boy Bertie Wooster for almost 60 years, and he did so with a smile - and his sharp wit. Bringing Jeeves off the page and onto the stage, Fort Worth's Stage West is closing out the 2010-11 season with their production of Jeeves in the Morning, Mark Richard's stage adaptation of the 1946 Wodehouse's Jeeves and Bertie novel Joy in the Morning. Full of the usual trouble, antics and witty repartee, Jeeves in the Morning translates well to the stage, and if you haven't had a chance to check out this fun and flighty comedy, then rush to the final weekend of shows. The final performances are 7:30 p.m. Thursday, with additional performances at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, at Stage West in Ft. Worth, 821 W. Vickery Blvd. Tickets are $26 to $30, with student and senior discounts available. Call 817-784-9378 or visit stagewest.org.
Thursdays-Sundays. Starts: Aug. 25. Continues through Sept. 25, 2011
