If there is one celebrity marriage we’re all betting on, it’s the storied union of Santa and Mrs. Claus. Those crazy kids have made it work for what’s practically an eternity, frolicking under mistletoe, sharing untold numbers of cookies, and — like all healthy couples — passing judgment on everyone around them. However, they likely have their own frost-covered set of problems, too. For one, Santa’s always around except for those two days a year, leaving the Mrs. precious little alone time. And, well, there’s the drinking problem (see: ruddy cheeks). You just never know what goes on behind the scenes in a marriage. Fun House Theatre takes a stab at it, though, in the dark holiday comedy Yes, Virginia Woolf, There Is a Santa Claus, where things in the Claus household are anything but merry and bright. Writer/director Jeff Swearingin inserts a little bit of WTF into all those fa-la-la-la-las in a production that runs at the Plano Children’s Theater, 1301 Custer Road, from Friday until Saturday, December 13. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday., with 2:30 shows on Saturdays and Sunday. Tickets are $8; visit funhousetheatreandfilm.com.
Fridays-Sundays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, Sundays, 2:30 p.m. Starts: Dec. 5. Continues through Dec. 13, 2014
