Just when you thought Nancy Drew was forever besmirched by last year's syrupy tween movie, two Dallas artists are bringing the true girl sleuth back. Sarah Jane Semrad and Erica Felicella channeled the protofeminist and her two BFFs for their latest curated show: Nancy, George and Bess. The all-female exhibit will feature photography, painting, installations and more in a creepy Deep Ellum warehouse, just the type of place old Nance was keen on. Like Nancy and her buds, the show's contributors represent a variety of talent and experience, from the detailed bird paintings of freelance artist Ryann Rathbone to the splashy canvases of lifetime artist Zanne Hochberg. Visit Nancy, George and Bess at 2824 Main St. The show opens Thursday with a free artists' reception from 7 to 9 p.m., and runs on Friday from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday from 11 to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 11 to 5 p.m. Come back after hours on Saturday for a special BYOB party featuring female performers Lovie and Heather Knox. Cover is $5. Call Semrad at 469-951-7323 for more.
