Classical music may seem snooty but there are even music snobs exist amongst the snobbiest sound form of music. Beethoven is to classical music what the Beatles are to indie music fans. Hell, Jack Black even made fun of the Belgian born composer as an easy choice on one of John Cusack's many "Top Five" lists in "High Fidelity." Well, screw the haters. He's the most famous classic musician for a reason and you can enjoy all of his greatest hits along with some other great classic compositions at the Fine Arts Chamber Players’ 34th annual Basically Beethoven Festival at the Dallas City Performance Hall (2520 Flora St.) featuring performances by the Dallas & Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and the Dallas Opera Orchestra. The first in a series of free weekly concerts takes place at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. More information at fineartschamberplayers.org.
