Better Living Through Beethoven
There are plenty of ways to balance your life and boost your health that don’t include athletics, like the ultimate in passive fitness: listening to classical music. Did you know that listening to requiems, symphonies and concertos can help you sleep better, reduce feelings of anger and frustration, lower blood pressure, reduce pain and potentially increase your brain power? Get a big dose of healthy living at the Dallas Chamber Symphony’s performance of Brahms and Beethoven on Tuesday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. The most cardio you have to do involves climbing a few stairs at the Dallas City Performance Hall, 2520 Flora St., and settling in to your seat for a performance involving all manner of allegro. Tickets range $12 to $38.25 at tickets.attpac.org.
