Just want to take a moment to clear up a nasty rumor that's been going around about Fred Savage and rodents of unusual size: It's all true--he's totally into them and he has been since 1987. See for yourself Friday and Saturday during the midnight showing of The Princess Bride at the Inwood Theatre, 5458 W. Lovers Lane. Directed by Rob Reiner, the cult classic is your typical fairytale love story about finding true love by way of shrieking eels, horrible British accents and kidnapping. The movie stars Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Robin Wright (pre-Robin Wright Penn), Carol Kane, Billy Crystal, Baby Fred Savage and a million of your fellow audience members who will surely be blurting slurred quotes at the movie screen from opening credits to closing credits. The fact that the Inwood serves beer and other booze types during its movies is both a blessing and a curse in this instance. On the plus side, at least the drunken yelling turns out to be a freakishly accurate impression of Andre The Giant. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $7 for youngins (under 12 years old), oldies (62 and over) and studentfolk. Visit landmarktheatres.com.
