Wanna make your special someone feel particularly special this weekend? Here's the plan: Step 1: Get a babysitter. This step can be skipped if a) you do not have children, or b) you are cheap and like to guilt your mom into watching your kids. Step 2: Buy some booze. Step 3: Take your special someone to see Sundown Collaborative Theatre's production of Savage/Love, based on the poems of Sam Shepard and Joseph Chaikin, which will be showing at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (and May 5 through May 7) at Green Space Arts Collective, 529 Malone St. in Denton. The story explores the ups and downs of Sal and Stella's relationship over time, which naturally includes some adult situations (hence the babysitter). Also, the show is BYOB (hence the booze). Step 4: Share a mutual appreciation of how much more stable your relationship is than Sal and Stella's train wreck. Mission accomplished. Tickets for Savage/Love are $10 and will be sold at the venue for one hour before the performance (cash or check only). To reserve tickets, or pay by credit card, call 214-729-0313 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, visit sundowntheatre.org.
April 28-30, 8 p.m.; May 5-7, 8 p.m., 2011
