The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth offers something for the kids on Hump Day. Their free gallery program, Wonderful Wednesdays, is designed for families as an informal introduction to the collection and special exhibitions. Held once a month, Wonderful Wednesdays offers a focused tour along with a gallery project designed by the Modern's education staff. This Wednesday's program will deal with the work of German sculptor Stephan Balkenhol, known for his whimsical figures, as well as British abstract sculptor Henry Moore and American pop art legend Andy Warhol--a nicely varied selection that will give kids and their parents a good overview of some stellar contemporary art. Each of these artists offers work and ideas that could be intriguing to a child's mind, in their own way. All three artists have works that are part of the museum's permanent collection, and Warhol is represented by several pieces. The program takes place from 4 to 4:45 p.m. Wednesday and is limited to 30 participants. The Modern is located at 3200 Darnell St. in Fort Worth.
