We were hoping that "Good Chef, Bad Chef" was going to be a new reality show about two celebrity chefs fighting for the mortal souls of their respective restaurants' customers, alternately hexing and blessing their award-winning meals to influence the moral fiber of their patrons. Will the heavenly truffled veal bolognese persuade diners to report their taxable income correctly to the IRS? Or will the devilish, chili-rubbed, braised short ribs cause those that consume it to cheat on their spouses? Fortunately, the actual event is something far less sinister. The American Institute of Wine and Food presents "Good Chef, Bad Chef," a cooking class with local kitchen wizards Chef Jim Severson of Sevy's Grill and Chef David Holben of Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steak House from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Dallas Farmer's Market, Market Resource Center, 1010 S. Pearl Expressway. The cost is $35 for AIWF members and $45 for non-members. The demonstration includes generous samples of the prepared dishes and wine.
