Ever Gazed At Malldernist Art?
Ask anyone in town and they're sure to tell you that NorthPark is more than just a mall. Yes, there are the obligatory high-end stores and the much needed food court, but NorthPark is a scene unto its own, and it is home to some of the best artwork in town. In step with one of its goals, making art accessible to the masses, NorthPark, in partnership with Business Council for the Arts, presents ArtsPark, a free-for-all (and free) event designed to educate and involve area residents in Dallas' world of arts and culture. Whether you're looking to hone your existing skills or learn something brand new, the folks at ArtsPark will have everything you need. In addition to representatives from groups like Asian Film Festival of Dallas, Dallas Children's Theater, Lone Star Wind Orchestra, Museum of the American Railroad, and Writers Garrett, there will be special live performances, programs and demonstrations all day long. The event takes place Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. throughout NorthPark Center, 8687 N. Central Expressway. Call 214-361-6345 or visit northparkcenter.com.
Sat., Oct. 2, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., 2010
