Composer and lyricist William Finn is probably best known for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, though he's written music and lyrics for a number of other projects, including A New Brain--based on his brush with death after brain surgery--and the trilogy of In Trousers, March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland, which detail the story of a gay Jewish man named Marvin as he deals with his ex-wife, boyfriend, son and psychiatrist. Make Me A Song: The Music of William Finn is, you guessed it, a musical revue of his work, and you can catch it at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays at the WaterTower Theatre, 15650 Addison Road in Addison. Tickets are $20 (or $25 for Friday's opening night performance). Call 972-450-6232 or visit watertowertheatre.org.
Thursdays, 7:30 p.m.; Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Oct. 30. Continues through Nov. 23, 2008
