Festive Water Jugs? Aquired!
One of the more frustrating parts of walking through a museum and finding something amazing on display is the nagging thought that follows through the rest of your visit: “Dammit, I want that.” You know that even if the Dallas Museum of Art would let you make an offer on that Crusades-era scimitar or ancient pottery, it’s probably a little out of your price range. Don’t despair, though. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sons of Hermann Hall, 3414 Elm St., is hosting the last day of the Randy Brodnax and Friends Christmas Art Sale, where you can buy all the crafts and art you want for yourself or that finicky art-lover you got stuck with for Secret Santa again this year (fuck you, Joel). Brodnax is a seasoned local potter who regularly hosts workshops and brings together his artist friends for this annual Christmas sale. This year there are more than 40 artists on display through various media. And admission is free, so really you have no excuse not to go. Visit randybrodnax.com.
