For Me To Poop On
The opening credits flash across a shabby trailer where two plastic pink flamingos gracefully adorn a scorched, dirty lawn. And that's where this frame-for-frame description of John Waters' 1972 cult classic Pink Flamingos has to end. The NC-17 midnight favorite is one of those things you just have to see to believe. In short, more-to-love drag queen Divine plays Babs Johnson, recently deemed "the filthiest person alive." Babs will use whatever means necessary to defend her title against the Marbles, a diabolical couple dead set on stealing the filth crown. Highly recommended for fans of cannibalism, feces and extreme eye makeup, or anyone who's ever wondered what it would take to become physically ill in a movie theater. Daily Variety called it "one of the most vile, stupid and repulsive films ever made," a review that now proudly adorns the DVD box. See if you can make it all the way through Pink Flamingos in a 7 p.m. Thursday screening at Centraltrak, 800 Exposition Ave. For more information call 214-824-9302 or visit centraltrak.org.
