Fans of chicken-fried everything have just a couple of weeks before that orgy of deep-frying known as the State Fair of Texas. But if you can't wait, Central 214 at Hotel Palomar has a special battered-and-fried snack for you: Pride. OK, so Chicken-Fried Pride is probably symbolic, but executive chef Blythe Beck will serve up chicken-fried Blythe Bites along with drinks, DJ music and Trailer Park Entertainment from the Rose Room at S4 and Caven Entertainment to benefit LGBT support organization Youth First Texas 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Central 214, 5300 E. Mockingbird Lane. Suggested donation is $20. Call 214-520-7969.
Tue., Sept. 15, 6:30 p.m., 2009
