If the Friday night line-up on BBC America isn't enough to keep that Anglophilic entertainment streak satisfied (and now that Hell's Kitchen is over, the delectable Gordon Ramsay isn't sloppin' out British slang and cuss words on Monday nights), Theatre Britain offers a solution in the form of its third annual fund-raiser, Old Time Music Hall. For two nights, patrons can get their fill of sketches, songs and other sundry laughables in the style of old British vaudeville. The music hall genre was in full effect around World War I, but no one said it can't be revived once a year. Hell, even on a bad night we bet it would easily best a double feature of The Benny Hill Show and My Hero. Decide for yourself, and give Theatre Britain some hard-earned funds, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Trinity River Arts Center, 2600 N. Stemmons Freeway. Tickets are $15 (and the show is "intended for teens and up," just so you know). Call 972-490-4202 or visit theatre-britain.com.
Fri., Sept. 1, 8 p.m.; Sat., Sept. 2, 8 p.m.
