Curry is just a term for a blend of spices, rather than any one ingredient or flavor. My cat is 2 feet long and weighs 18.7 pounds. Six Flags Over Texas is 21 miles from Dallas. The average life expectancy of a spider monkey is 20 to 27 years. Dig around a bit in your stored e-mails, college papers, magazine clippings or, in this case, a file I have labeled "Random Stuff" and chances are you'll find, well, some random stuff. The peeps over at Photographs Do Not Bend Gallery dug around a bit in preparation for their move to their new Design District location on Dragon Street and they found a slew of gems they hadn't seen in ages. Make no mistake—stored but not forgotten. Appropriate then that the last showing in the old space would be Random, an exhibition of these mismatched treasures that haven't been publicly displayed in many years. Random includes works by Kenro Izu, Birney Imes, William Rittase, Jim Murray, Luis Gonzalez Palma, Maria Martinez-Canas and others. The show opens with a reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and runs through August 26 at 3115 Routh St. Call 214-969-1852 or visit photographsdonotbend.com.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Starts: Aug. 11. Continues through Aug. 26
