Dane Cook is coming to town, and I know what you’re thinking: “Ew, sick.” “That hack?” “He’s a fart bag.” First of all, we’re kind of all fart bags, aren’t we? And secondly, in order to truly loathe something you should at least be familiar with that thing, right? So go to his show so you can bone up on what it is specifically that you find so grating. One thing’s for sure, he’s superficial and nowhere near as good as Louis C.K. — or even Louie Anderson, for that matter — but he’s been around forever so he must be making someone laugh. For his latest tour, Under Oath, Cook says, “The [new] set is a lot more random. It’s what I think I do best, which is observational comedy.” Funny, I didn’t think he did anything well. The show at the Majestic Theatre (1925 Elm St.) starts at 8 p.m., and tickets are $50.25 and up through TicketMaster.
