If you’re looking for a few good shorts, then the best place to catch them is at a festival. Luckily for you we just happen to live in a festival-happy area, and coming through town this week is LUNAFEST, a fundraising traveling cinematic collage that’s designed by, for and about women. This year, LUNAFEST features nine films, each selected based on its diversity within the industry as well as its power to motivate viewers. Grab your girlfriends and a LUNA bar Thursday, and head to the University of Texas at Arlington Maverick Activities Center, 500 W. Nedderman Drive. Tickets are $5 to $10 and proceeds benefit the UTA Women’s & Gender Studies Program and the Breast Cancer Fund. The whole thing starts at 7 p.m., so call 817-272-3131 or visit lunafest.org.
