Got the Blues? Take Four, They're Hilarious
It's been a few years since it's happened, but House of Blues has cornered Dallas' most pedigreed comedians and trapped them together on one stage. It's also demanded that they use their skills to make otherwise rational human beings laugh like Anderson Cooper. Yes Dallas, you're welcome. First up is Paul Varghese, who was named the funniest comic in Dallas in 2009 and has pretty much carried the scene ever since. If you were lucky enough to catch Dave Chappelle last month, your early evening side-ache was a result of Varghese's opening act. YouTube sensation Dominic Harris prides himself on being a joke-teller, not a story-teller. Chelsea Hood describes herself as the “sarcastic girl next door” with a more masculine perspective on body image, drinking and anything else you throw her way. Lastly we have Denton native Aaron Aryanpur. Aryanpur makes a living by joking about his life experiences: being married, losing weight, his job and Whataburger. Doors are at 8:30 p.m. for this comedy powerhouse performance at House of Blues (2200 N. Lamar St.). Tickets start at $10. Visit houseofblues.com/dallas or call 214-978-2583.
