Kathy Griffin has this story about taking her dogs to a resort in Palm Springs that kills. Really, it's just so funny that it hurts to watch, and it's even better because it's something that could happen to any one of us. Sure, she's famous for her often vicious send-ups of A-list celebrities, but she appeals to so many folks because when it gets down to it, she's a very real person even when she's standing onstage under two pounds of drag-queen makeup. In the past couple of years, her marriage fell apart and her beloved father died. Yet, she keeps going, winding the stories into her stand-up act and highlighting them on her Bravo reality show. And just when you're really feeling some solidarity with her, good old Kathy will say something so disgusting that you'll recoil momentarily and then laugh your ass off. Trust me, any woman who can evoke Britney Spears' nether regions and a chow tongue in the same sentence deserves your $32.50.
