Hanging Out West
Sure, Dallas can be pretty scary, but have you ever been to Fort Worth, man? There's no way the Stockyards and the old Hell's Half Acre aren't haunted, especially considering all the gunfights and flophouse murders that occurred there once upon a time--and that's just the real haunted stuff. Hangman's House of Horrors, located just west of downtown Cowtown at Interstate 30 and Forest Park Boulevard, has been packing in the fright-seekers for 21 seasons now, raising a startling $1.6 million for local charities in the process. With attractions like the Hangman's House, The Labyrinth, The U.N.D.E.A.D. and the 3-D Mansion, you're sure to find plenty of ways to spook that special someone into your arms this Halloween, and considering the money goes to charity and not carnies, you don't even have to feel guilty about it. The Hangman's House of Horrors ends the season from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday and 7 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $20 if you want to visit every attraction or $30 if you don't want to wait in line. Visit hangmans.com for more information.
