What a relief. After all the conflicting news stories, health articles and general word o' mouth, it's finally official: Wine, in all available varieties no less, is good for the heart...or, at least, Heart House, a nonprofit agency that provides after-school (and, hopefully, summer, if this event is successful) programs for low-income and at-risk tykes. Nosh on bites from Ferré, Crú, Victory Tavern and Steel, sample wines, check out a silent auction and a "cork pull" raffle for wines during this year's incarnation of the Grape Escape fundraiser. Grab a glass and escape for a good cause at Crú and Ferré in the West Village from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday. To check out an underwriting contract or grab some tickets ($75 to $150), visit hearthousedallas.org/grapeescape. Do something good for your Heart.
Wed., June 13, 7-10 p.m.
