The key to keeping New Year's resolutions is to strike while the iron's hot--start working toward your goal while you're passionate about it. And if your goal is getting in shape, maybe you should hike while the iron's hot. Join other resolution-makers at the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge, 9601 Fossil Ridge Road, for a Resolution Hike from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, New Year's Day. For $5 plus admission (free for members), you can enjoy North Texas nature--and maybe work off a few Champagne calories--while hiking part of the Canyon Ridge trail. If you really get into the spirit, you can check out 11 other trails--over 20 miles in total. Call 817-392-7410 or visit fwnaturecenter.org.
