Thanks to Bob Barker, generations of Americans learned daily about the importance of having pets spayed and neutered. And though Drew Carey continues to carry on the message, we know that the best pet advocates still exist locally, and few do that better than the SPCA of Texas. The 70-years-strong organization blings up its annual charity event with the theme Paws Cause Goes Hollywoof. Benefiting the SPCA of Texas Clinic at Village Fair, this year’s bash brings fancy food, drinks and entertainment, but more importantly it allows the clinic to continue to provide low-cost spaying, neutering and other pet wellness programs to the four-legged friends of South Dallas. Get dolled up like a Hollywood glamour puss from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Sambuca in Uptown, 2120 McKinney Ave. Tickets start at $150. Visit spca.org for more information.
