Irish Suds Are Smiling
Remember last year's St. Patrick's Day Parade? Me neither. I also don't remember the name of that nice lady of the night who shoved me into a cab. And I don't remember why I thought that Snuffer's should keep my identification and credit card. I do remember the events of the next morning including me puking green and thinking, "The power of Christ compels you!" for one split second while really hoping I hadn't done the Hulk any sexual favors for another. Yaaaaaaay, the Irish! The St. Patrick's Day Parade begins 11 a.m. this Saturday at Park Lane and Greenville Avenue and will happen rain or shine or random snow monster attack. There'll be floats. There'll be shamrocks. There’ll be celebrity judges. There'll be burps a-plenty. Watching the parade is free. Wear green and get there early, because parking is pretty much nonexistent. The event is all ages, but remember: Your babies aren't allowed to booze it up. And don't forget to purchase your $5 tickets to the Official After-Party at The Granada Theater, because that's when everyone's gonna get Irish-ed up beyond belief. It's gonna be off the shillelagh. For parade info, call 214-757-8453 or visit dallasobserver.com. Be there, or be really sad that you actually remember St. Patrick's Day.
