Much of art is about the intangible: anger, hate, joy, hope, ideas, myths, fantasies, the love of a person or thing and fear of the future. So it's no surprise that ghost stories are a deep well for artistic creation. These stories wrap numerous ideas about death, the afterlife and penance into tidy tales that can be told around the campfire. Converting a ghost story into visual art is the task of The Lady, an exhibition that focuses on the classic legend of the Lady of the Lake -- the ghost of a young woman who drowned in White Rock Lake decades ago. You don't have to believe in specters to enjoy the exhibition at Bath House Culture Center, 521 E. Lawther Drive, through January 28. The center is open noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
