My little sister was obsessed with Stuart Little when she herself was, you know, little. We watched the movie and the sequels over and over at the movie theater. She even had a copy of E.B. White's book about the second son in the Little family who "was no bigger than mouse"...and actually was a mouse. My sister had no idea that the story she loved was written by E.B. White--who got the idea while sitting on a toilet on a train--but it never mattered because the world of Stuart Little captured perfectly the dangers and delights of being a very small-sized person in a very big world, giving voice to an experience that all grown-ups should remember and with which all kids can identify. Now both kids and grown-ups have the chance to see a live stage version of White's classic children's story as Theatre Arlington presents an all-youth production of Stuart Little. Tickets are $10. Theatre Arlington's located at 305 W. Main St. in Arlington. Call 817-275-7661 or visit theatrearlington.org for information.
