I'm not gonna lie: I get all those Live songs mixed up. There's that "I can feel it..." one. Is that one "Lightning Crashes"? And then "Selling the Drama"; is that the one that says "We won't be raped like that, no-oh-oh..."?That's the thing with Live. Chances are you own...

That's the thing with Live. Chances are you own their mid-'90s smash album Throwing Copper, but you don't know a single song title from it. The Pennsylvania quartet—singer Ed Kowalczyk, guitarist Chad Taylor, bassist Patrick Dalheimer and drummer Chad Gracey—writes anthemic, stadium-ready rock songs with a simple formula of dramatic vocals and Christian rock sensibilities, all of which sound much more rich and full than you'd think, thanks mainly to Kowalczyk's deep, emotional voice. The band is touring in support of Songs From Black Mountain, their newest record. Keep in mind that items from the "LIVE Lifestyles" line —including the "I Can Feel It" shirt—will be available when the quartet performs at House of Blues, 2200 N. Lamar St. Seriously. 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $35 to $45. Visit hob.com.
Fri., May 18, 7 p.m.
