For those people who thought Trey Parker's only remarkable creative achievements are his contributions to South Park...think again. While he was a student at The University of Colorado, Parker's first commercial success came after he penned the black comedy Cannibal! The Musical, a kitschy and humorous account of the criminally convicted American cannibal Alferd Packer. The musical has been in and out production all over the country for the past 10 years, and this February, it will finally make its debut here in Big D at The Dallas Hub Theater, 2809 Canton St. Come witness the irreverent and comedic journey of Packer's trek through the Colorado Territory, as he schleps his way through the mountains and eats his way through his friends on a journey that ultimately leads to his inevitable execution...with an ending twist befitting the wicked creativity of Trey Parker. Showtimes are 8:15 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through March 20. Tickets are $20. Call 1-877-238-5596.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8:15 p.m. Starts: Feb. 26. Continues through March 18, 2010
