If you give a cat a cupcake, it will probably eat it greedily and then vomit the half-digested remains on your bed about an hour later. That's our experience, anyhow. The popular kids' book by Laura Numeroff, If You Give a Cat a Cupcake, puts a slightly less realistic spin on the situation. Numeroff shapes her time-tested tempting-animals-with-treats formula into an early-elementary lesson about consequences and how quickly a cat can talk you into going to the beach. Omaha Theater Company stages an interactive, family-friendly version of If You Give a Cat a Cupcake--complete with singing, dancing, and audience participation--at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Eisemann Center, 2351 Performance Drive in Richardson. Tickets are $11 to $21, and group discounts are available. For more information, call the box office at 972-744-4650 or visit eisemanncenter.com.
