Joan Rivers has a giant card catalog in her fancy New York City apartment where she files every one of her jokes. The 78-year-old manages to shill jewelry on QVC, host a show on E!, film a reality show with her daughter, make brilliant guest appearances on TV shows and still find the time to meticulously catalog ribald jokes about Snookie’s vagina. The woman has an incredible energy level, a work ethic that’s unrivaled and a wit that won’t stop. She’s put together, organized and funnier than ever. Did you see the Louie episode in which she was featured this season? It was genius. And her hosting gig on Fashion Police should be a go-to for all those comedians out there trying to nail the timing thing. Sure, you have to sit through the occasional Giuliana Rancic monologue on pantsuits, but otherwise it’s full of some of the funniest one-liners on television, thanks to Rivers’ off-the-cuff riffs about celebrities, trends and herself. Rivers is absolutely at the top of her game, and she’s bringing her trademark biting humor to Fort Worth’s Bass Performance Hall, 525 Commerce St., at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Tickets for An Evening With Joan Rivers start at $27.50 and may be purchased online at basshall.com.
