Not Now, Later
Be it by alien invasion, massive flood or nuclear explosion, the human race has been predicting its own demise for thousands of years. Even if you aren't one of the paranoid few stocking up on water, MREs and flashlights or digging out an underground bunker, just imaging the deserted cities and still highways a la I Am Legend is enough to give you the heebie-jeebies. You may not be wielding a machete just yet, but if you're curious to get a glimpse of what you might expect to see in a post-apocalyptic world, check out the Post-Now exhibit with works from Anna Krachey, Buster Graybill and Jesse Morgan Barnett, on display through July 17 at the Marty Walker Gallery, 2135 Farrington St. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. For more information, call 214-749-0066 or visit martywalkergallery.com.
