Open Mind, Keep Eyeballs
Did you see Pan's Labyrinth? Holy out of nowhere with the stabbing the guy in the face with the broken bottle, right? And that no-eyeballs-filling-his-eyeholes monster with the creepy eyehands was easily up there in the Top 10 Freaking Scariest Movie Bad Guys Ever (I wonder if Michael Jackson is planning on ripping off that look. He's already mastered the chasing little kids thing, and he's got the creepy house. He needs to trade the ponies-and-candy wonderland for some eyeball removal surgery, stat). If you're looking for a G-rated version of Pan's Labyrinth (more little kids making friends, less creepy), 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, see Bridge to Terabithia at Theatre Arlington on 305 W. Main St. in Arlington. The play is based on the children's novel by Katherine Paterson and follows two kids on their travels through a magic forest hidden in the woods. If you can't make it this Saturday, you've still got plenty of chances to see the show. It runs until November 11 with shows at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $10. Call 817-275-7661 or visit theatrearlington.org.
Fridays, 7:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 & 7:30 p.m.; Sundays, 2 p.m. Starts: Nov. 2. Continues through Nov. 11, 2007
