If you grew up anywhere near the ’80s (beat it, Biebers), your TV lineup included CHiPs and Dukes of Hazzard and somewhere in that menagerie of good old boys and tight tan pants you had your first crush. Back then you would’ve done just about anything to meet the legends of Hazzard County and nowadays, you actually can. Head out to the Galaxy Drive-In in Ennis on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to meet the cast — Daisy (Catherine Back), Luke (Tom Wopat), Cooter (Ben Jones), Rosco (James Best), terrible replacement Enos (Sonny Shroyer) and Cletus (Rick Hurst). Yes, for real, and since they’ll be roaming amongst you mere mortals, photo ops will be more plentiful than the Dukes’ bathtub gin. Galaxy will be screening D of H all weekend. Other attractions — like you need any — include a car show, music, food and fun. Tickets start at $15 and are available now at galaxydriveintheater.com.
