Election? What election? Oh, that presidential thingy. Is that still going on? We hadn't noticed, 'cause we've been in a freakin' coma for the past eight years. Lucky for us, Steve Forbes, chairman and chief executive officer of Forbes Inc. and editor-in-chief of Forbes Magazine, will tell us all about why the presidential election matters. Not to spoil the surprise, we suspect it has something to do with the country being in the shitter. Still, you never really know until you hear it from a rich Republican businessman and former presidential candidate. Forbes' luncheon speech in the Chantilly Ballroom at the Hilton Anatole, 2201 Stemmons Freeway, is presented by The National Center for Policy Analysis and the graduate school of management at the University of Dallas. Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. Visit www.ncpa.org/evn/sumners/2008/steve_forbes.html for more info.
