Take It Easy At Plush
Ever taken a drive for no reason at all other than to empty your head and take in the scenery around you? Well, now you can take a ride through alternate artistic scenes and realities as Plush Gallery reopens it a new space in the Dallas Design District with its upcoming debut exhibition, Joyride. It's a conceptual journey through abstraction with a strong emphasis on the surreal and the elemental. A number of the artists showcased are native to Dallas, such as Dylan Hollingsworth, Peter Ligon, Robert Moore and Robert Reedy. The other artists come from parts of the country as varied as their featured works, and the Plush Gallery enjoys and utilizes that variety. Since its opening in 2000, Plush has participated in several cultural art fairs in Chicago, Miami and New York. Now in their new digs at the offices of Cunningham Architects, 918 Dragon St., this exhibition unveiling should set the mood and tone for the gallery's renewed presence. Joyride hangs through November 13; gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Visit plushgallery.com.
Wednesdays-Saturdays, 12-5 p.m. Starts: Oct. 16. Continues through Nov. 13, 2010
